Testimonials from parents of students and from a student herself.
"My son is severely dyslexic and was diagnosed at the age of 8 years old. For the whole of his school life he struggled in class and although he was given extra support, the support person was usually untrained in dyslexia.

He had various tutors across all subjects but English was always going to be his Nemesis. He was heading for a very poor grade in English GCSE (especially as Mr Gove had removed the speaking and listening element from the exam). I found Anne Unger online and she stepped in and supported Jack. Her patience and understanding is amazing, she was always very well prepared and linked a lot of the learning to subjects that my son was interested in. I found Anne to be very knowledgeable of dyslexia and always up to date with new information.

She struck up a great rapport with my son and I found her to be very reliable and trustworthy. Jack achieved a high D grade in English which was a vast improvement on his predicted grade thanks to Anne. This gave my son's confidence a real boost and he started to believe in himself. He is now training to be a teacher."

"Anne was a breath of fresh air. Her lovely positive approach helped both me and my daughter as we were really struggling with deciphering what was being asked of her. Anne had the patience to work methodically with my daughter, and knowing how to help her made a huge difference to her understanding of the work. She helped my daughter to organise things in a methodical way so she could keep track of what was being asked of her. Anne is a very kind person and very perceptive when it comes to an individual's needs. She is fantastic at using the strategies to help a child to learn.

My daughter, Alice, has slow processing skills and mild cerebral palsy.

Alice liked Anne very much and it helped to make lessons enjoyable and positive."

"Anne helped me to organise all my files, books and work into sections. This made it easier for me to find my work and also it was easier for me to see what I needed to do for my homework.

She also helped me with my English because I found it hard sometimes - especially when fancy words were used and I had no idea what they meant."

Anne has a wealth of knowledge and experience. Both our children have dyslexia and have been struggling with their reading and writing in school. Anne has engaged with both children in a caring and friendly way following their interests, building both their confidence and skills. We've already started to notice the gains being made in their reading skills and would highly recommend Anne as a specialist tutor.

Meeting Anne has had a huge impact on my learning abilities. Through her I was able to gain an understanding, not just of what I need help with, but what my strengths are when it comes to learning, and this has helped me massively with my confidence. She is a very kind and caring lady and put me at ease straight away, and she has remained in touch to assist with anything extra I needed. Time with her was well worth every penny! She was very thorough in explaining everything to me, as well as professional and encouraging in every meeting I had with her.

We are very lucky to have found Anne for our son who has Special Educational Needs. We have worked with many tutors in the past with minimal progress being made as they did not have the experience or know how of teaching a child with a number of difficulties. Anne has taken the time to get to know my son, what his difficulties are and more importantly how she can best support him. Anne is very encouraging and kind natured and is always willing to try alternatives until she finds the best method of learning. She has a lot of knowledge across many different areas and has certainly made a difference to my son's English, Maths and learning techniques. Anne always updates me on progress and offers support in many ways - I highly recommend Anne.
